| Purpose:To observe the curative effect of acupuncture treatment to vertebral-basilar insufficiency (VBI);and discuss the influence of the acupuncture treatment from the angle of electrophysiology on brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAEP) of vertigo patient who is VBI, discuss the feasibility of taking BAEP as the objective target for vertigo.Method:Divide 78 examples vertigo patients of VBI stochasticly into two groups successively according to be in hospital: conventional group 38 examples and the other 40. Both use conventional treatment, acupuncture group add in acupuncture. Observe two groups of patients'curative effect and the BAEP graph peak latency (PL) and inter peak latency (IPL) change.Results:The conventional group and the acupuncture group clinical curative effect comparison (P<0.05), the difference has statistics significance. In aspect of the BAEP rate abnormality, before treatment acupuncture group and conventional group have no difference (P> 0.05), after treatment the difference is significance (P< 0.05).From BAEP various waves PL and IPL change's aspect, before treatment acupuncture group, conventional group compared with normal group the difference is remarkable (P< 0.01), acupuncture group and conventional group have no difference (P> 0.05); after treatment conventional group's difference is remarkable (P< 0.01, P< 0.05), and as well as the acupuncture group (P< 0.01),the two groups'difference is significance too.(P< 0.05).Conclusion:Both acupuncture and conventional group can improve VBI circs, acupuncture group seems to precede the other. Both group can improve VBI patients'BAEP, such asⅠ,Ⅲ,Ⅴwave of PL andⅠ～Ⅲ,Ⅲ～Ⅴ,Ⅰ～Ⅴwave of IPL, so as to reduce the abnormity rate, and acupuncture group is better than the conventional group . BAEF has remarkable value in the curative effect and direction for the treatment of VBI, can be the general examine method for diagnosing and evaluating the curative effect of VBI. |
