Based on the Grossman theory and model, this paper investigates the influences of education, especially of college education, upon demand for health in China. Using 2006 wave of China Health and Nutrition Survey, we find that:(1) In the regression of all samples, no matter whether we control the influence of income or not, the education level has a significant positive impact on the health demand, while the marginal return of education is declining. However, the education level has a different impact on the health demand in different groups.(2) The regressions of male, elder, and rural samples have a similar result with the all-sample regression. High school education and college education distribute less than compulsory education to the health demand.(3) College education has a negative impact on the health demand of female and city residents. Graphically, the coefficients of education level form an inverted U-shaped curvilinear.(4) The city residents who don't have a residence registration will face a worse health demand.
