Objective:To investigate the health education demand of liver transplant patients during hospitalization using the questionnaire made by referring to the Delphi method and to explore the related factors of affecting the demand of health education, in order to provide liver transplant patients with proper health education strategy. Research methods:1.Through related research to form investigation questionnaire and the item pool, through two rounds of Delphi expert consultation about the dimensions and the questionnaire items. Then determine the weight of each item, the formation of the final draft of the questionnaire, and evaluation of the reliability and validity of the questionnaire.2. Related data were extracted from those patients who underwent liver transplantation from July 11 th 2014 to March 5th 2016 in the liver transplantation center of Jilin University in the first follow-up(7 days after discharge). All the data were processed by SPSS17.0 software. Referring to single-factor analysis, when the data were in line with the normal distribution, then the data were presented by mean ±standard deviation and analyzed by T or F test; on the contrary, then the data were presented by median±quartile distance and analyzed by chi square test, P < 0.05 was considered as statistically significant. Multiple-factor analysis were performed by using multiple linear regression statistical inference. Result:1. Using the application of the Delphi method to prepare "liver transplant patients health education needs questionnaire" by consulting to 15 experts, screen and quantitative indexes weights, the results of the consultation of experts authority coefficient was 0.86, coefficient was 0.89, familiarity was 0.83; determine the weight of each index, the coordination coefficient of the level indicators and secondary indicators were 0.4350 and 0.2666 respectively; then test the reliability and validity of the questionnaire: the questionnaire internal consistency Cronbach ’s alpha coefficient was 0.939, Spearman Brown split half reliability coefficient was 0.936, content validity was 0.867. Eventually the final draft of health education demand questionnaire for patients with liver transplantation was formed, including 3 first grade indexes and 30 secondary indexes, which contained 8 items about preoperative health education, 13 items about postoperative health education, 9 items about before-discharging health education; the total score were 30 ~ 150 points and the higher the score demonstrated the more demand. 2. The health education needs of liver transplantation patients in different stages the needs were different, the top five demand of preoperative were as follows: the economic burden of liver transplant(4.52±0.808), the life quality after liver transplantation(4.30±0.663), the possible postoperative complication(4.13±0.844), the basic examination and preparation for the surgery(4.06 ±0.652), the effective guide for deep breath and cough(3.88±0.834); the top five demand of postoperative were as follows: the postoperative diet(4.61±0.573), knowledge of medicine concentration monitoring and test indicators(4.45 ±0.693), the manifestation and prevention of complications of surgery(4.32±0.627), diet transition guidance after liver transplantation(4.31±0.729), manifestation of early rejection(4.23±0.741); the top five demand of before-charging were as follows: follow-up time and content(4.72±0.453), the need for immediate treatment(4.45±0.672), how to carry out self-monitoring(4.30±0.705), physical exercise(3.83±0.756), how to protect themselves from infection(3.75±0.840). Conclusion:In this study, we developed the questionnaire about investigation of health education need for patients with liver transplantation and processed the content validity and reliability test, which can be used to investigate the health needs of patients with liver transplantation.
