Chronic Superficial Gastritis Syndrome Research

Objective:Upward trend in the incidence of Chronic superficial gastritis (CSG) becomes to rise recently because of mental stress which caused by accelerating pace of social life and pressure, as well as the influence of Hp infection, smoking, alcohol abuse, poor diet, application of non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and other factors. Chinese medicine has certain advantage in preventing and treatment of CSG and the effect of consolidation. However, the clinical syndrome of CSG type is not uniform, the standard has been due to lack of clinical epidemiology, have not been universally accepted and promotion. This study used epidemiological methods combined with mathematical statistics to initially discuss traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) clinic syndrome type and features of syndrome elements, try to help to improve efficacy and standardization of syndrome of CSGThe subjects:The CSG cases are from first clinic hospital department of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Gastroenterology,Dongzhimen Hospital during May 2009 to February 2010, outpatients are diagnosed by endoscopy and (or) pathology which is accord with CSG diagnostic criteria.Methods:Using chi-square test, factor analysis and entropy gathering methods and so on to study CSG clinical data of patient with syndrome elements and syndrome type.Results:Derived by factor analysis of CSG syndrome type, the type of syndrome are: disharmony of liver and stomach, weakness of the spleen and the stomach, damp heat in the spleen and the stomach, insufficiency of the spleen- yang. Elements of basic syndromes:qi stagnation, hot, dampness, qi deficiency and deficiency of yang; Further use of the entropy gathering method on the basis of factor analysis which can better describe the nonlinear relationship between the clinic syndrome, which has complemented and validated the results of the factor analysis. Through the entropy gathering method obtained CSG syndrome type are:disharmony of liver and stomach, weakness of the spleen and the stomach, liver and stomach yu heat, damp heat in the spleen and the stomach, insufficiency of the spleen- yang and stomach yin deficiency. The basic elements syndrome:qi stagnation, hot, dampness, qi deficiency and deficiency of yang and yin deficiency.
