Objective:According to the process of the group psychotherapy, to research depressive disorders change in family cohesion and adaptability in group psychotherapy, then discussing whether group psychotherapy can improve family cohesion of depressive disorders.Methods:According to the process of the group psychotherapy,90 patients meeting criteria of DSM-VI for Major Depression were assigned to group psychotherapy plus medication group, Family psychotherapy plus medication group and drug treatment group, when assigned to groups, collecting general demographic information, evaluating SDS,HAMD, FACES II and comparing with the normal. Then give the corresponding treatment for 12 weeks, evaluating HAMD, FACESⅡonce again. At last judging this three kinds of treatment effects on family cohesion, as well as efficacies. To analysis the family cohesion in major depression and the related factors.Result:1. Before the experiments, between test group and control group there were no significant difference among the total scores of HAMD, SDS,FACESⅡ, and the demographic data. (p> 0.05)2. Before the experiments, the scores of patient's family cohesion and adaptability were lower than the normal, the differences were significant(P< 0.05), the main family type is "stiff-loose".3. After 4 weeks treatment, the total scores decreased significantly among the three groups (p<0.05).4. After 4 weeks treatment, score differences of HAMD and SDS were more decreased in team Groups than drug Groups (p<0.05),and score differences of FACESⅡwere more increased in team Groups than drug Groups (p<0.05).5.After 4 weeks treatment, there were no significant difference among the score differences of HAMD,SDS and family cohesion,and score differences of family adaptability were more increased in group psychotherapy than family therapy (p<0.05).Conclusion:1. The scores of patient's family intimacy and adaptability were lower than the normal, the main family type is "stiff-loose".2. Group psychotherapy plus drug treatment are better in the family cohesion and adaptability, and better than family psychotherapy plus drug treatment in adaptability in the family.
