Objective:To investigate the setting and contents of group integrated psychotherapy and explore the clinical effects and dropout rate of the pattern of drugs combined with group integrated psychotherapy in elderly patients with depression.Methods:135 elderly patients with depression were recruited from Zigong mental health center in the range from the December of 2015 to the December of 2016 and interviewed by experienced psychologist, and then decide which patents would be suitable for the group psychotherapy. Finally 100 elderly patients with depression took part in the study and signed the informed consent. These patients were randomly divided into group integrated psychotherapy group(study group,n=50)and group cognitive behavioral therapy group(control group,n=50)by random number table.Study group were treated with escitalopram combined with group integrated psychotherapy and control group were treatment with escitalopram combined with group cognitive behavioral therapy.A1 l participants were assessed with Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD-24),Geriatric depression scale(GDS-15),Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ),psychological resilience scale(RS),Perceived social support scale(PSSS)and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Inventory(PSQI)respectively at the baseline,2,4,8 weeks after treatment, and than analyse the dropout rate of the two group.all data were taped into epidata database and analysed with SPSS17.0.statistical methods include the descriptive statistical analysis,t-test,chi-square test and repeated measurement variance analysis. Results: The total scores of HAMD and GDS of the each group are all significantly declined compared with the baseline,The difference has statistically significant(F=102.50,P=0.001;F=55.94,P<0.001).At the point of 4 and 8 weeks after treatment,The difference of total scores of HAMD between the two group respectively have statistically significant(t=3.54,P=0.001;t=2.45,P=0.017).After 8 weeks of treatment,The total scores of HAMD of study group was lower than the control group,The difference has statistically significant(F=3.82,P=0.021).At the point of 2,4 and 8 weeks after treatment,The difference of total scores of GDS between the two group respectively have statistically significant(t=3.08,P=0.003;t=2.32,P=0.023;t=2.78,P=0.007).After 8 weeks of treatment,The total scores of GDS of study group was lower than the control group,The difference has statistically significant(F=4.49,P=0.009).The total scores of RS in each group are all dramatically increased compared with the baseline,The difference has statistically significant(F=50.04,P<0.001),but the total scores of RS between the two groups has non-statistic difference(F=5.65,P=0.315).The total scores of positive coping items of SCSQ in each group after treatment are both gradually increased compared with that of the baseline, and the difference has statistically significant(F=48.54,P<0.001).The total scores of negative coping items of SCSQ in each group after treatment are all gradually decreased compared with that of the baseline, and the difference has statistically significant(F=50.54,P<0.001),but the difference between the two group has no statistically significant. The total scores of PSSS in each group after treatment are both to some extent increased compared with that of the baseline, and the difference has statistically significant(F=56.24,P<0.001),but the difference between the two group has no statistically significant(F=4.69,P=0.515).The total scores of PSQI in each group after treatment are both decreased compared with that of the baseline, and the difference has statistically significant(F=55.14,P<0.001),but the difference between the two group has no statistically significant(F=5.11,P=0.385)?The study group fell off 7 cases and the control group fell off 16 cases. The dropout rate between the two group has statistic difference(X2 =4.57,P=0.032).Conclusion: 1?drugs combination with group integrated psychotherapy can improve the efficacy in the treatment of senile depression.2?group integrated psychotherapy increase compliance and decline dropout rate compared to group cognitive behavioral therapy in the elderly patients.3?GDS is more sensitive than HAMD in rating the elderly depression.4?the two types of group psychotherapy increase the psychological resilience and the defense style of patients...
