One of the four greatest physicians in Jin and Yuan dynasty Zhang Congzheng, (1156-1228 A.D.) is a representative of Gongxie theory. The masterpiece Ru Men Shi Qin in which the main academic ideology originated from The Internal Canon of Medicine, Canon of Difficult Issues, Treatise of Febrile Disease, and Liu Wansu, representative of cold medical school, is one of his most famous works. In the opinion of that the disease is not originated from the body, but either from the outside or from the inside all belonging to the evil-energy, he elaborated the theory of the three main course of the evil. In medication the diaphoresis, emesis, and dismount were the most commonly used therapy. In the diaphoresis, other than sudorifics there is moxibustion, steaming method, bathing, medicated ironing, cauterization, acupuncture, stone needle, massage. In the emetic therapy there is Yin xian, Lu xian, Ti qi, Zhui lei, and in the dismount, there is lactogemesis, lactagogue, Moji, hydragogue, Po jing, Xie qi therapy. The Gongxie theory has an deep impact on the later ages. Especially provided a source theory for the development of the school of seasonal febrile disease.Avicenna (980-1037A.D.), the author of Canon of Medicine, was prasied as "the prince of Arabic Medicine". Not only in his major research field but also in chemistry, mathematics, astronomy, geography, music, and literature he is outstanding. Affiliated to Graeco-Islamic Medicine, his theory is based upon the humour doctrine of Hippocrates and Galen. And he also take advantage of the Chinese and Indian medicine. His academic ideology is the most comprehend summary of Arabic and Western traditional medicine from theory to practice. In his opinion not only climate, living environment, water, food, age but also the mood condition could impact the disease. In medical practice he applied bathing, vomiting, blood-letting, leech blood-letting, regimen, surgery, cupping glass, coloclysis, transurethral medications, vaginal plugging.Considering the close era the Ru Men Shi Qin from Zhang Congzheng and Canon of Medicine from Avicenna are composed and the similarity of the academic opinion between them, the comparative study of the both have been performed. Through the analysis of theory, administration, and the therapy, we find out that they share the same recognition in etiology and have many similar therapy such as diaphoretic, emetics, laxative, blood-letting, bathing. Zhang Congzheng is more sophisticated at herbs and Chinese patent compound, meanwhile, Avincenna paid more attention at blood-letting, bathing, cauterization and preparation, circumstance, accident management, and dietary.
