Integrative Treatment Of Slow Transit Constipation Program

Objective: To find a better treatment programme for treating slow trasit constipation by intergrated traditional Chinese and Western Medicine to raise the cure rate of the disease,so as to better guide clinical therapy.Methods: We selected the typical cases and implemented a programme of treatment.First of all,we treated STC through diet, exercise,behavior therapy and colon hydrotherapy in order to adjust defecation habits.Second,treatment was determined on syndromes. Patients took Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) according to different syndromes and received acupuncture therapy.Third,we treated them by Catgut embeding.The last,if conservative treatment failed,surgical treatment would be possible.At the same time,we observed the clinical effect.Results: We have found a scientific and standardized treatment programme for treating slow trasit constipation.Conclusion: The treatment programme for treating slow trasit constipation by intergrated tradional Chinese and Western Medicine has been proved to have significant effect.
