Professor Li Tienan The Treatment Of Rosacea, Clinical Experience Summary

Rosacea,which has many namings,is a disfiguring derm- atosis mainly manifested as erythema,papule,pustule and telangiectasia occurs the nose and around on the face.The study on pathogenesis of rosacea is not confirmed by now. According to traditiona1 Chinese Medicine,the reason of rosacea has relationship with improper diet,pungency addiction and alcohol.The pathogenesis of TCM is the heat accumulation of lung and stomach up to face ,on where su- ddenly encounter the wind-cold outside,finally lead to blood stasis. Professor Li Tienan has been engaged in the clinical work of Dermatology for nearly 30 years, and has his own view on pathogenesis of TCM about the intermediate and late rosacea,proposed that the pathogenesis of rosacea also including heat from Liver Depression.On the aspect of treatment of rosacea,he also has rich experience.He suggests that we should pay equal attention to Chinese medicine and Westen medicine,with internal and external treatment, adopt proper comprehensive therapies on individual patients.This paper summarized Professor Li's Treatment Experience of rosacea.
