Yixin Decoction In Treating Unstable Angina Pectoris Of Coronary Heart Disease : A Clinical Study

Objective: To observe the clinical effect and prognosis of Sanative Heart Decoction on the patients with the weakness of Qi with stagnation of the blood(WQSB)in treating unstable angina(UA)of Coronary heart disease(CHD)and to explore the clinical mechanism by c-responsive protein (CRP). Methods: 61 cases with WQSB of UA were randomly divided into convention and treatment group. Convention group had 30 cases, while treatment group had 31 cases. The convention group was treated with routine Western medicine, while the treatment group done with Sanative Heart Decoction based on routine Western medicine. The experiment continued 2 weeks. The variation of angina pectoris symptoms integral, ECG, and CRP, prognosis and toxic and side function were observed before and after therapy. Results: Before treatment, there was no difference in each other (P>0.05).While 2 weeks later, Sanative Heart Decoction based on routine Western medicine not only appeared to be more effective than routine Western medicine in improving symptoms (P<0.01), ECG (P<0.05), prognosis(P<0.01),but also seems to be superior to routine Western medicine in CRP (P<0.01). Both group had no toxic and side function significantly. Conclusion: Both groups are effective to angina pectoris symptoms integral, CRP and safe. However, Sanative Heart Decoction based on routine Western medicine is more effective in angina pectoris symptoms integral, ECG, CRP and prognosis. Sanative Heart Decoction is a more effective drug in treating WQSB of UA, and long term treatment.
