Righting Cancer Side Clinical Observations, Reducing Toxicity In Patients With Advanced Esophageal Cancer

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Fu Zheng Kang Ai prescription to increase efficiency and reduce toxicity during chemotherapy in the mid and late stage of esophageal carcinoma patients,and appraise the feasibility of this kind of treatment to use in the mid and late stage of esophageal carcinoma.Method:We divided 44 esophageal carcinoma patients who were inⅡ,Ⅲ,Ⅳstage and conform to the bringing criterion into two groups randomly,among them 22 patients were in treatment group(chemotherapy of NP plan associated with addition and subtraction of Fu Zheng Kang Ai compound prescription),the other 22 patients were in control group(pure chemotherapy of NP plan).Conventional chemotherapy of NP plan:Vinorelbine 25mg/m²d₁,d₈ dripping into vein fastly,Cisplatin 25-30mg/m²d₁-d₃ intravenous dripping.Three weeks was one cycle,and two cycles were continuously.While chemotherapy,the patients of treatment group took the decoction of Fu Zheng Kang Ai compound prescription orally before meals,three times a day,and for a long time.Two cycles later compared the situation of symptom improvement,the quality of life,the body weight,adverse effect by chemotherapy,the tumor focus size of before and after treatment and so on.Results:In the treatment group there were 21 cases finished,1 case losed visit.In the control group there were 20 cases finished,1 case not finished the treatment,and 1 case losed visit.So the two groups had 21 cases and 20 cases to count respectively. The treatment group were higher than the control group on the effective and stability aspect,but through the statistics processing there were non-significance difference of two groups(P＞0.05).But on the aspect of increasing the quality of life and body weight,alleviating the toxicity and side effects of hematological and digestive system,improving the body immune function and the symptom of Traditional Chinese Medicine,the treatment group was higher than the control group obviously, and had significance difference through statistics processing(P＜0.05).Conclusion:To the esophageal carcinoma patients of mid and late stage taking Fu Zheng Kang Ai compound prescription coordinately while chemotherapy can be able to alleviate adverse effect of chemotherapy,cause the tumor lump to stable to a certain extent,and improve patient's quality of life,which played the synergized and reducing toxicity action,and is worth to further deep research.
