| OBJECTIVE:Hyperthyroidism is regarded as a typical psychosomatic disease. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between mental health level and hyperthyroidism,which was based on the theories and methods of modern medicine and TCM.It's purpose was to explore the features of mental health in hyperthyroidism.METHODS:All of the 384 Graves disease patients were asked to evaluate with "Sympton Check List 90"(SCL-90)and "Subjective Seven Emotions List",which included somatization,obsession-compulsion,interpersonal sensitivity, depression,anxiety,hostility,phobie anxiety,paranoid ideation,psychoticism and the similar concepts of TCM.①The SCL90 score of Graves disease patients compare with the national normal;②The SCL90 and and "Subjective Seven Emotions List" comparison between male and female;③The SCL90 and "Subjective Seven Emotions List" comparison between different ages;④The SCL90 and "Subjective Seven Emotions List" comparison between TAOs and non-TAOs.Two scale rooms carry out transverse direction analogy in②③④. Gathering such that the data uses SPSS 12.0 statistics softwares to carry out analysis,use equal number and standard deviation to indicate that,data contrast adopt the t-test.RESULTS:①All the 384 patients' scores of most of factors of the SCL90 were higher than national normal.The total score,means of positive factors, interpersonal sensitivity,anxiety and hostility were differed significantly (p<0.01).Obsessive compulsive disorder and depression were higher than national normal(p<0.05).Somatization and phobic anxiety were not differed significantly.②In the SCL90 comparison between male and female,the score for the male with anxiety was differed significantly(p<0.01).The Somatization and hostility of male were higher than female(p<0.05).The score for the female with depression and psychoticism were higher than male(p<0.05),and the comparison of the other factors were not differed significantly.The same situation was implied in the similar concept of TCM Subjective Seven Emotions List.③In the SCL90 Comparison between different ages,the score for the<30 patients with Somatization and anxiety were differed significantly(p<0.01), while the score for the≥30 patients with depression was obviously higher than the<30s(p<0.01),and the score for the<30s with obsessive compulsive disorder and paranoid ideation were higher than the≥30s(p<0.05).The score for the≥30s with interpersonal sensitivity was higher than the<30s(p<0.05). The same situation was implied in the similar concept of TCM Subjective Seven Emotions List.④In the patients compliating thyroid associated ophthalmapathy (TAO),the scores of depression,anxiety,hostility,and the similar concept of TCM were extremely higher than the non-TAOs(p<0.01).CONCLUSION:There were significant differences in factors,such as anxiety, depression,etc.,and the similar concepts of TCM,which implied the differences of mentality and seven emotions between patients with hyperthyroidism and normal persons.Among a series of comparisons in the patients,including sexual, aged and TAO,the mental and seven emotions' disorders were implied in this study.Reveal the Graves disease patients had certain regularity and peculiarity effect to patient's mentality-feeling aspiration,and embodied the modern medicine and TCM in Graves disease patients' mentality-feeling aspiration aspect identity. |
