Objective:Through understanding the posttraumatic growth,anxiety and depression of patients with ovarian cancer undergoing postoperative chemotherapy,to establish intervention programs and measures to improve their posttraumatic growth,anxiety and depression,to verify the applicability and effectiveness of writing to express positive emotions in patients with postoperative chemotherapy for ovarian cancer,and to provide evidence for improving posttraumatic growth and anxiety and depression in patients with ovarian cancer undergoing postoperative chemotherapy.Methods:According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,a total of 82 patients with ovarian cancer undergoing postoperative chemotherapy were enrolled by convenience sampling method,including 40 in the intervention group and 42 in the control group.The control group was given routine nursing,and the intervention group was given performing writing to express positive emotions on the basis of routine nursing.The study site was Gynecology of Oncology in a Grade III A hospital in Changchun City,Jilin Province.Before the intervention,patients in both groups were assessed at baseline using general data questionnaire,Posttraumatic Growth Inventory(PTGI),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS);The Posttraumatic Growth Inventory(PTGI),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)were used to evaluate and analyze the efficacy of intervention after the intervention.Results:1.General informationBefore the intervention,baseline data were compared between the two groups for general demographic data such as age,religious belief,spouse,number of children,educational level,occupation,working status,residence,per capita family monthly income,medical expenses payment method and other disease-related data such as incidence,cancer stage and number of combined diseases.The results showed that the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05),and were comparable.2.Intervention effect1)Comparison between groupsThe total score of posttraumatic growth and five dimensions of appreciation of life,new possibilities,personal strength,mental change and interpersonal relationship of patients in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);The scores of SAS and SDS in the intervention group were decreased more significantly than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).2)Comparison in the groupIn the intervention group and the control group,the total score of posttraumatic growth and five dimensions of appreciation of life,new possibilities,personal strength,mental change and interpersonal relationship of the two groups of patients were improved,and the total score of posttraumatic growth and the scores of five dimensions in the intervention group were statistically significant compared with those before the intervention(P<0.05);In the intervention group and the control group,the scores of SAS and SDS of the two groups of patients were decreased,and the differences were statistically significant compared with those before the intervention(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Writing to express positive emotions could effectively improve the level of posttraumatic growth of patients with postoperative chemotherapy for ovarian cancer.After the intervention,the five dimensions of appreciation of life,new possibilities,personal strength,mental change and interpersonal relationship of patients with postoperative chemotherapy for ovarian cancer were all improved.2.Writing to express positive emotions had a significant effect on alleviating anxiety and depression of patients with postoperative chemotherapy for ovarian cancer.
