Objective:To study the acting mechanism on improving symptoms of PerimenopausalSyndrome through observing the effects on the blood fat metabolism of climactericrats of Gengniananyi soup.Methods:The study object was the 30 female Sprague-Dawley (SD) menopausal rats of11-15 months old(body weight 250-350g). The rats were divided randedrandomly into three groups (menopausal contrast group, Gengniananyi soup group,the western medicine group), and took 10 female SD rats of 4 months (body weight130~180g) to be the normal contrast group. After four weeks, examine the lipidcontent of twenty-four hour stool, remove uterus for weighing, and examine theserum lipids.Results:1 The change of serum sex hormone between the natural menopausal models andthe youth models: the uterus weighs was lower than that of the youth models (P<0.01); the excrements lipid content was higher than that of the youth models (P<0.05); the content of serum TC and TG of was higher than that of the youth models(P<0.01); the content of serum HDL-C of the natural menopausal models waslower (P<0.01).2 After being treated with Gengniananyi soup and the western medicine, theuterus weighs increased evidently than that of the menopausal group (P<0.05); thedifferences of the above indexes between the two groups were not significant (P>0.05).3 After being treated with Gengniananyi soup and the western medicine, the TCdecreased evidently than that of the menopausal group (P<0.05), the HDL-Cincreased evidently than that of the menopausal group (P<0.05); the differences ofthe above indexes between the two groups were not significant(P>0.05). The TG ofGengniananyi soup group decreased evidently than that of the menopausal group (P <0.05); the change of TG between the western medicine group and the menopausalgroup: the TG of the western medicine group had ascendant tendency, but thedifferences were not significant(P>0.05).4 The excrements lipid content of Gengniananyi soup group decreased evidentlythan that of the menopausal group (P<0.05); the differences between theGengniananyi soup group and the western medicine group were extremely significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:The experiment proves that Gengniananyi soup can raise the menopause SD ratsuterus weighs, it can degrade the content of TC and TG, going up the content ofHDL-C, and could modulate lipoprotein metabolism. So Gengniananyi soup can curethe Perimenopausal Syndrome availably, particularly suited for who has high-TGdisease.
