Experimental Research. Qubi Network Cream Treatment Rat Adjuvant Arthritis

Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic, immunologically mediated rheumatic disease whose progression largely depends on the extent of inflammatory activity. Ankylosing spondylitis always affects young males and in more than 90% of cases is associated with HLA-B27 antigen. Till now, the reason of this disease is unclearly. Therapeutic options for those patients with spondyloarthropathies have been limited during the last decades. In contrast to rheumatoid arthritis (RA), therapeutic control of AS is very limited. Therapy of ankylosing spondylitis should not only control inflammatory processes, but also prevent structural damages and maintain the functions. Until recently, physiotherapy and non-steroidal antiphlogistics (NSA) therapy was a gold standard of AS treatment. NSA therapy alleviates inflammatory pain of spine in 60 to 80% of patients. According to the most recent findings, long-term administration of NSA can affect also X-ray progression. For example the therapeutic effect of Votalin Emalgel on AS was proved. Tradition Chinese Medicine have some advantages of steady therapeutic effect on AS. Our study indicated that Qu Bi Tong Luo plaster can decrease AS animal model serum TNF-αand IL-6, had the similar therapeutic effect on AS as Votalin Emalgel.
