Study Of Zhejiang Province, The New Rural Cooperative Medical Care System

Because of the duality of the rural-ruban economic structure,the inertia of the rural-urban dual medical system and policies' unbalance, urban and rural medical security system exist kind of gap. According to the world health report 2000 published by the WHO, China ranked 188 among the 191 member countries in terms of the medical contribution equality. China's rural cooperative medical security system, which was once successfully recommended to other developing countries in the 1960s and 1970s, has been disabled in the 1980s. Therefore, how to select the rural medical security system and how to built it has become two serious projects which should be treated appropriately and in time. This study takes Zhejiang province for example, analyzes and reseraches the developed areas' medical security system in our country , appraises and narrates the new type of rural cooperative medical security system in Zhejiang province, analyzes the necessity and possibility of establishing the rural-urban integrated basic medical security system, elaborates barriers in the way to the rural-urban integrated medical security system and advances some sugestions about these. The objective or significance of this study is not only for the need of the people's health, but also for the need of the urban and rural's social economy,medical and health undertakings continuing,stable and harmony development.
