Scholars of iatrology have long been holding the view that the alimentary disease like the Chronic Gastritis has something to do with the high psychological pressure and the unhealthy life style. Being included into the field of body and mind diseases, Chronic Gastritis is concerned not only with phthological changes in stomach catarrh, but also with the changes in mentation. This research, which will connect the dialectic theory of traditional Chinese medicine and the statistics of psychological measurement, is to analyze the relations between depressed and anxious mentation of the chronic gastritis patients, and to study the elements that affect these mentations, while at the same time analyzing the features of depression and anxiety of the patient who suffers from the Chronic Gastritis disease caused by the gastrohepatic discordance, and proving the traditional Chinese medicine theory of liver catharsis with the method of evaluation of the statistics of psychological measurement.1. The analysis of the relations between the normal condition of the Chronic Gastritis patient and SDS&SAS integralSeveral factors have influences on the depressed and anxious mentation of the Chronic Gastritis patient . This research has collected 442 cases for the study which shows the result that those factors include gender, occupation, unfavorable element, age, academic degree, as well as the income. We have learned that the female Chronic Gastritis patient has worse mentation than the male one, and suffers from more serious depression and anxiety. Furthermore, We can see more distinct symptoms of depression and anxiety from the patient who is affected before or during the disease by some bad elements(including family relationship, adaptation to the society, psychological stimulus, and family income). Patients from different occupations shows the differences in SDS&SAS integrals, among which the retired people show the highest figure, and the cadres as well as those with jobs show comparatively lower integrals. Middle aged people and old people have the higher SDS&SDA integral than the youngsters. The research also presents to us the fact that higher academic degreeand higher income result in lower SDS&SAS integral.2. The study of depressed and anxious mentation of the Chronic Gastritispatients2.1 The study of SDS&SAS integrals of the Chronic Gastritis patientBy making comparison between the SDS&SAS integrals of those 442 cases and the normal integral of our country, this study is to prove the fact that a Chronic Gastritis patient shows obviously the higher integral of SDS&SAS than those of the normal people. According to Chronic Gastritis classification principle regulated in Chinese New Medicine Guidance, we have classified the 442 cases into the gastrohepatic discordance, the gastrosplenic weakness, the gastrosplenic wet heat, the deficiency of stomach yin, the gore at stomach arteries and veins. These five aspects have shown obvious differences in their integrals. We put the latter four aspects into the group of gastrohepatic non-discordance, and the remaining aspects into the gastrohepatic discordance group, and we can see the higher SDS&SAS integrals in the second group.2.2 The analysis of the depression and anxiety of the Chronic Gastritis patientThe integral of the Self-evaluating Depression System marks the dividing point at 41, and the Self-evaluating Anxiety System at 40. According to these two dividing points, we can decide whether a patient is undergoing the situation of the depression and anxiety. Among the 422 cases, 112 patients suffer from the depression, while 121 patients suffer from the anxiety. After the Chi-squre test checking, we have learned that distinctions exist between the gastrohepatic non-discordance group and the gastrohepatic discordance one in their depression and anxiety. There are also obvious differences among the groups of the gastrohepatic discordance, the deficiency of stomach yin, the gastrosplenic weakness, the gastrosplenic wet heat in their depression and anxiety.2.3 The relation between the symptom integral of the Chronic Gastritis patient of gastrohepatic discordance and his SDS&SAS integral, depression and anxiety mentation According to the analysis by Spearman grade-related checking, we have learned that the clinic symptom integrals of 249 cases in the group of gastrohepatic discordance are concerned with SDS&SAS integrals. The more serious symptom of discordance the patient shows, the higher number the integral reaches. According to rank sum test analysis, we also know that among the patients of gastrohepatic discordance, the depressed and anxious ones show higher integrals that others.3. The study of the relation between stomach mirror manifestation, pathology organization diagnosis, HP infection and the integrals of depression and anxiety of the Chronic Gastritis patientAccording to the manifestation under the stomach mirror, we divide the Chronic Gastritis patients into surface gastritis, atrophy gastritis, hemorrhage gastritis as well as erosive gastritis. The differences of SDS&SAS integrals of these four aspects have no importance of statistics. According to the grade-related analysis, and after the observation of different types of Chronic Gastritis with the stomach mirror, we know that the degree of pathological changes in catarrh has nothing to do with SDS&SAS integrals. We have made pathological organization checking on 121 patients, and found that the degrees of pathological organization intestinal metaplasia in grastric mucosa, atrophy, activity and chronic inflammation are not related to the integrals of depression and anxiety. What's more, the difference between the SDS&SAS integral of HP infected Chronic Gastritis patient and that of HP uninfected one has no academic importance.
