Fever is a common symptom of all sorts of diseases, and is also one kind of the systemic reaction responses to inflection and trauma. The high fever which is up to 40 Celsius degrees can have considerable influence on cells of the central nervous system and the heart of the patients, especially the patients who have heart disease and the children. Because of those reasons, it becomes a pressing problem to be solved to finding out the method which has little harmful side effects and safe effective allaying fever medicine. The objective of this experiment is to study the electro-acupuncture pretreatment and auto-moxibustion pretreatment's mechanism of preventing fever. The febrility model of cavy caused by heterologous protein is taken as subject. We observes the effect for rectal temperature at all phases caused by the pretreatments of electro-acupuncture, auto-moxibustion and Qingkailing injection. The definite items of febrility and immune correlated items are detected to observe the pretreating effectiveness of the three pretreatment. The results of this experiment can initially explain the mechanism of preventing fever from the point of nerve-endocrine-immune network at the molecular level as well as provide reference for clinic. The experiment includes two steps. First, the normal cavies (without febrility) received pretreatment every two days, totally five times. Thirty-nine cavies are randomized and divided into five groups: normal group, model group, electro-acupuncture group, auto-moxibustion group and Qingkailing injection group. Anus temperature is tested before and after pretreatment to observe the pretreating effectiveness. Second, the cavies are copied into febrility model by heterologous protein. All groups of cavies, except the normal group, are injected germ-free defatting fresh milk into abdominal cavity. The model group and the three pretreating groups of cavies'anus temperature to compare the antifebrile effect of different pretreatment. We approach the mechanism of preventing fever based on the pretreating antifebrile effectiveness. The results show that:1. The result shows that there is no significant difference among groups (P>0.05). It indicates that pretreatment has no significant effectiveness for normal cavies'temperature.2.The result shows that the max temperature reaction index (△T) and the temperature reaction index (TRI3) of model group are significantly higher than normal group (P<0.01); the electro-acupuncture group of cavies'anus...
