The Influence Of Electro-acupuncture Pretreatment On Intestinal Function In The Patients With Colorectal Cancer Surgery

Objective To analysis the influence on intestinal function,inflammatory response and arterial lactate via electro-acupuncture pretreatment in the patients with colorectal cancer surgery.Methods We select sixty patients with colorectal cancer about to take an elective surgery,aged from 18 to 59,graded ASA?~?.They were randomly divided into 3 groups with 20 patients per group: group A(total intravenous anesthesia);group B(total intravenous anesthesia combined with pretreatment with electro-acupuncture on the right acupoints of zusanli,shangjuxu,xiajuxu);group C(total intravenous anesthesia combined with pretreatment with electro-acupuncture on the acupoints of zhongwan and the right acupoints of tianshu,zusanli,shangjuxu,xiajuxu).We observed and recorded the recory time of the borborygmus,flatus and defecation,the duration of fasting and peritoneal drainage,and the volume of drainage.Venous blood was taken to detect white blood cell count and neutrophil count at three time points,prior to surgery(T0),the first day after surgery(T1),the fifth day after surgery(T2),and arterial blood was taken to detect lactate at three time points,prior to surgery(T?),after tumor resection and abdominal lavage(T?),the first day after surgey(T?).Results On the intestinal function,we found that the borborygmus,flatus and defecation recoveried earlier,the duration of fasting and peritoneal drainage were shorter in group C than those in group A(P<0.05),and group B was superior to that of group A,but no significant difference was seen between them(P>0.05),and there was no difference between group C and group B(P>0.05).On the inflammation indicator among groups,there were no differences about white blood cell count and neutrophil count at T0 between them(P >0.05),white blood cell count and neutrophil count at T1 in group C were less than those in group A(P <0.05),and white blood cell count and neutrophil count in group B were also less than those in group A,but no significant difference was seen between them(P>0.05),and there was no difference between group C and group B(P>0.05),there were no differences about white blood cell count and neutrophil count at T2 between them(P >0.05).Within groups,white blood cell count and neutrophil count at T1 and T2 were increased significantly compared with T0(P <0.05),white blood cell count and neutrophil count reduced significantly at T2 compared with T1(P <0.05).On the lactate indicator among groups,there were no statistical significances at T?T?T?.Within groups,there were no statistical significances about lactate at T?T?T?.Compared with at T?,lactate had an significant increase at T? in three groups(P < 0.05),however,lactate at T? was nearly equal with that at T? level;Compared with T?,lactate decreased significantly at T?(P < 0.05).Conclusion Total intravenous anesthesia combined with electro-acupuncture preconditioning could improve intestinal function,especially on the acupoints of zhongwan and the right acupoints of tianshu,zusanli,shangjuxu,xiajuxu.
