Object: To explore the effects of Belamcanda-Ephedra syrup on the express of c-jun in theinflammatory cells of bronchophony in guinea pigs and study anti-asthma mechanism ofBelamcanda-Ephedra syrup.Method: 350 ±50g guinea pigs were randomly divided into four groups: the normal group, thecontrol group, the Chinese medicine group, the west medicine group. The asthmatic models were setup by the method of inbreathing atomized albumen. Count the number of exprssing c-jun in theinflammatory cells of bronchophony in every group.Result : c-jun could not be detected or expressed at very low level in the normal group. Theywere greatly increased after the guinea pigs were challenged by ovoglobulin. Compared with thecontrol group, the content of c-jun gene in the Chinese medicine group and the west medicine groupreduced significantly.Conclusion I Belamcanda-Ephedra syrup is effective in the treatment of asthma. One ofmechanism is to reduce the expression of c-jun in inflammatory cells, further inhabit the activationof inflammatory cells.
