Objective:To observe the clinical effects of Belamcanda and EphedraPowder on children's cold syndrome of acute asthma.Methods:Sixty children with cold syndrome of acute asthma wererandomly divided into the treatment group and the control group ,each ofwhich includes 30 cases . The two groups were given oral acetaminophen(Bricanyl tablets),and the treatment group were given treatment of oralBelamcanda and Ephedra Powder for 7 days at the same time. Observe thetwo groups of children's clinical symptoms, physical signs, Peripheralblood eosinophil count(Eos)and the change of the Lung function in endexpiratory volume in one second(FEV l)and Peak expiratory flow rate(PEF) before and after treatment.Results:The one week treatment showed that the effective rate ofthe treatment group was 90.00%, while the control group was 76.67%, sothe treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.05). On theaspect of improving symptoms of Chinese medicine and the majorsymptoms and signs (cough, sputum, breathlessness and wheeze toeliminate lung), the treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.05). In particular, in the improvement of the symptoms of cough andexpectoration , the treatment group and the control group performed moresignificant difference.In improving the Eos and the pulmonary functionbefore and after treatment,the treatment group was superior to thecontrol group (P<0.05). Belamcanda and Ephedra Powder had preferableeffects on children's cold syndrome of acute asthma ,either light ormedium.Conclusion:This study showed that Belamcanda and Ephedra Powdercould improve the clinical effects and physical signs of children's coldsyndrome of acute asthma.What's more,it could reduce airwayhyperresponsiveness, lung ventilation function and the Eos as well. Therefore, it had significant effects on both light and medium phase of children's cold syndrome of acute asthma .
