| Henoch-Schonlein purpura nephritis in children is a kindney complication during the course of Henoch-Schonlein Purpura, Which is key to the prognosis of HSP. In the recent decades, with the change of environment and peoples' diet structure its rate of incindence continues to increase. HSPN has become one of secondary nephropathy threatening children' s health. Modern medicine doesn' t have specific treatment. Then, currently and from now on the most important task for pediatrists of Traditional Chinese Medicine is to find a safe and efficient treatment to cure the disease .This essay elucidate four aspects of HSPN in children, which include etiologic factor, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment from the fields of Chinese and Modern Medicine. The hypothesis is proposed as the critical pathogenesis that stagnant heat blocks collaterals throughout its whole course. We emphasize the therapeutic principle cooling blood to resolve stasis and dredge collaterals, and look it as the fundamental principle. Furthermore we cautiously add and minus herbs in foumula which is prescribed to patient according to the specific syndromes of individual patient in order to increase the efficiency rate. The study is based on the experience of Nephropathy-team of Provincial Hospital Of TCM JiangSu, Who have made great success in treating HSPN by means of cooling blood to resolve stasis and dredge collaterals. On the basis of their experience, the study set up two teams treated by herbs and prednisolone respectively, keep close watch over the patients in clinic and objectively analyze the efficacy of this treatment to the hematuria in the patients of HSPN.
