This study tries to probe into the relationship between the time ofdeath because of malignant tumor and yin and yang in TraditionalChinese Medicine (TCM), by using retrospective study. The onehundred cases of the patients died of malignant tumor in ward wasdiscussed and analyzed, aimed at discovering the new idea to studymalignant tumor by Chinese medicine and providing important proof intheory and practice to treat malignant tumor.The results of this study are as follow:1.The most patients with cancer died in the morning (6am-10am) andlast night (0am to 4am), accounting for 69 percent. Ii is more than thepatients in the afternoon and first night, accounting for 31 percent. Thereason is that yin qi is excess and yang qi is deficiency in the last night,while qi of the patients with malignant tumor is deficient evidently.2.The patients died of malignant tumor in spring are the least of a yearand it is the most in the summer, accounting for 32 percent.3.The patients died of liver cancer are the most, accounting for 41percent. The second is lung cancer and alimentary tract cancer,respectively 19% and 29%.4.The most of TCM syndromes of patients with malignant tumor aredeficiency of both qi and blood or yin, accounting for 59%.Conclusion:The death rate and death time of malignant tumor relate to the yin andyang of TCM closely.
