Sjogren syndrome is a sort of systemic self-immune disease that mainly involves exocrine gland, often in the middle-age women. Salivary gland and lacrimal gland are the parts that are firstly involved and primary injury. In early stage, it is often neglected and diagnosed or treated by mistake because of dryness in mouse and eyes. It also invlves in viscus, such as lung, stomach, kidney, it show the change of the pulmonary Interstitial, atrophic gastritis, acidosis of renal tubule. In the lab, high-titer rheumatoid factor, immunoglobulin, anti-SS-A, and anti-SS-B antibody can be check-up. In modern medicine, glucocorticoid and immunosuppressive agent can be given to the patient. They can alleviate the symptoms, but they tend to suffer again and again, and there are many side-effects that are difficult to be accept. The pathogeny and pathogenesis of thie disease can not be make clear. It is difficult to be cured by means of the traditional Chinese medicine and the modern medicine.
