[Objective] To investigate and analyze two second-tier hospitals in Pu Jiang county and to study hospital management staff in Pu Jiang in management science knowledge and skills and to evaluate the present condition of the current hospital, establishing training contents and putting project into practice. [Methods] Proceeding questionnaire investigation to two hospitals of all managers, the scope includes three managers of levels: high managers and midist managers and clinical directors. Investigating contents include the basic circumstance and the work circumstance, management career train, cognition of the present condition to the current hospital and so on. [Results]: Taking back 84 valid questionnaires, among them high managers have 11 persons and midist managers have 30 persons and clinical section directors have43 persons. There are 73(86.9%) persons coming from the clinal science profession. No one comes from the manage profession. Above educational background in undergraduate course is only 27(32.1%) persons, 32 (38.1%) persons is of high class title , and midist manaers' s educational background is obvious to be lower than high managers and the clinical section directors. It is full-time to be engaged in the management work, only 7 persons, among them thedirector' s one person. There are 6 persons in 11 in high managers half of business and half of management, one person regard business as principle, they usually be engaged in expert's out -patient service and ward check,surgical operations, ect. The aspect to the presnt condition of the current hospital management, being approved consistently by the investigator of are '.thinking the professional management to increase the hospital management level, thinking the hospital managers to need management train. Clinical section directors approve consistently and midist and high managers does not agree with mostly: the current hospital management ability could not meet effective demand, hospital managers should complete continuous education for the credit and completing continuous education circumstance should be used as basical condition of promotion or transfer. Clinical section directors approve consistently and part of midist and high managers approve:hospital management circulating with encourage mechanism treat to reform, and lack the valid management system and mode , manage staff selection with appointment mechanism exists blemish.
