| Objective:To observe the influence of acupuncture plus moxibustion on blood lipids in patients with cerebral infarction, according to which study the therapeutic mechanism of acupuncture plus moxibustion on cerebral infarction, and provide a more affective and practical therapy method on it. Methods:Study was performed on 50 patients with cerebral infraction which was proved by CT or MRI who were randomly divided into 2 groups: acupuncture plus moxibustion group, comprised 30 patients treated by acupuncture and moxibustion ;acupuncture group, which was composed of 20 patients who were treaded only by acupuncture. We marked the syndromes and tested blood lipids before and after treatment, then studied the differences. Results:1 Clinical Evaluation The remarkably improved rates of the acupuncture group plus moxibustion and the acupuncture group were 73.33% and 65% respectively. The improved rates of the two groups were 93.33% and 85%. There were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05). Obviously, the acupuncture plus moxibustion group was superior to the acupuncture group.2 The Changes of Lost Nervous Function and Barthel Indexes The marks concerned on the lost nervous function and Barthel ADL(Active of Daily Living) of the two groups decreased. And there were significant differences between the acupuncture group and the acupuncture plus moxibustion group after treatment (P<0.05). Consquently, the latter was superior to the former.3 The Changes of Blood Lipids Both groups had the same trend of changes. The levels of CHOL, TG, APOB, LDL-C and LP(a) were decreased, while the APOA1 and HDL-C were increased. To acupuncture plus moxibustion group, CHOL, TG, LDL-C and LP(a) reduced highly remarkably (P<0.01), APOB decreased notably(P<0.05), while APOA1 rised highly significantly (P<0.01)and HDL-C increased remarkably (P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture plus moxibustion has a positive effect on cerebral infarction, which can not only release symptoms of patients apparently, but also improve blood lipids remarkably. That suggests the improvement of blood lipids acts as a mechanism of treating cerebral infarction with acupuncture plus moxibustion. Thus the therapy method is practical and worth applying further. |
