Objective To investigate the action of Antang Pill on how to influence mouse's blood glucose level by 0GTT;And to investigate the action and mechanism of Antang Pill on how to influence diabetic rat's blood glucose regulating hormones and improve its supersession disorder state. Methods 1.Mouse: Normal mice were divided randomly in five groups:low dosage, middle dosage and high dosage of AT group, Aetformin group and normal control grop respectively. Then giving seven days' treatment. After1. g. glocuse, detecting mice's BG on every 0,0.5,1 hour-time.2. Rat :Established DM rats by intraperitoneal injection of Alloxan are to be divided randomly in the same five groups. After three weeks treatment, detecting rats' following materials including BG, INS, GLP-1 both in an empty stomach and postprandial state with the use of radioimmuno assay and serum enzyme examination, meanwhile rats' pancreatic tissues are made into pathological section for analysis. Result 1.The elevation of blood glucose level caused by glucose outside was decreased by AT. 2. AT can accelerate the renovation and proliferation of pancreatic B cells of the DM rat established by injection of Alloxan, improve the DM rats' blood glucose metabolism disorder,and raise INS, C-P and GLP-1 content in serum. The general curative effect of AT is better than the west medicine cross-refer group. Conclusion AT can act in multiple ways to degrade blood glucose level.
