Diabetics Peripheral Neuropathy(DPN) is one of frequently accounted complications of diabetes mellitus(DM) which appears during the occurrence and progressing of DM, body pain and numbness and sensory disturbance is the main symptom of DPN. The DM morbidity is increased sharply recently, the morbidity of DPN is also increased and DPN has become one of the main complications of DM. If not discovered and treated early, it can do great harm to DM patients. It can cause injury of motor nerve and sensory nerve, combined with injury of splanchnic nerve and micro vessel lesion which causes the injury of limb and splanchna, even chronic functional disturbance. So, study on DPN has already become an urgent important issue of medicine society. Up to now, the investigation on DPN is lack of theoretical explanation in both western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),therefore lack of standard therapeutics, it also has not special recordation in ancient kooks of TCM.My instructor, Professor Feng Jianhua, on the basis of TCM basic theory combined with modern research, and after decades of clinical experience, has formed a series of effective theories and therapeusis. He proposed that the pathogenesis key of DPN is deficiency of both QI and YIN, blood stagnation, unsupported of vessels. So tonifying QI and nourishing YIN, promoting blood circulation to disperse blood stasis, activising vessel to disperse pain is proposed as the main treatment principle of it, and Ji Zhou Ling Solution prescription are carefully composed accordingly. To further investigate the clinical effectiveness and action mechanism of JZLS, we conducted systematic clinical observation. In 40 cases of DPN patients treated with JZLS, the total effectiveness rate was % and higher than control group in which total effectiveness rate was %, after statistic treatment there was significant difference(P<0.05).The clinical investigation shows JZLS is very effective in controlling adhesiveness and aggregation of blood platelet, activating blood circulation as well as improving the clinical symptoms of DPN. So this investigation can merit further develop and investigate.
