Clinical And Experimental Study On DM Neurogenic Bladder With Xiao Long Solution

DM neurogenic bladder (DMNB) is a frequently accounted chronic complication which do great harm to the health of DM patients, neurotic lesion is the main symptom of DMNB. It is mainly found in senior DM patients, as the DM morbidity is increased sharply recently, the morbidity of DMNB is also increased, and its morbidity become even higher as the sufferer's age and duration increased. If not discovered and treated early, it can causes infection, even renal insufficiency (uremia) and death. So, the study on how to diagnosis and treat it early to prevent and treat it effectively, to lower the mortality rate, to discover the ideal method and drug to treat it has already become a urgent and important issue of medicine society. But the investigation on DMNB by TCM was mainly done on the basis of experience and lack of theoretic explanation and investigation on clinical ground, and no effect TCM has been discovered. So conducted systematic theoretic, clinical investigation of DMNB has great significance.My instructor on the basis of TCM basic theory combined with modern research, and after years of clinical experience, proposed that DMNB is a deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality disease happened on the basic pathogenesis of DM, its patho-genesis key is spleen and kidney deficiency and blood stagnation, spleen and kidney deficiency is the main pathologic basis and there is blood stagnation all through its pathogenesis. So tonifying spleen and kidney, activating blood circulation is proposed as the main treatment principle of it, and Xiao Long Solution prescription are carefullycomposed accordingly. To further investigate the clinical effectiveness and action mechanism of XLS, we conducted systematic clinical observation. In 30 cases of DMNB patients treated with XLS, the total effectiveness rate was 90(3% and higher than control group which total effective rate was 62.1% , after statistic treatment there was significant difference(P<0.05) . The clinical investigation shows XLS is very effective in lowering the bladder residual urine, the blood sugar, blood lipid, improving blood theology and glycosylation Hb as well as improving the clinical symptoms of DMNB. The clinical observation shows XLS has rather good effect on prevention and treatment of DMNB. So XLS is a rather ideal and effective TCM in treating DMNB and merits further develop and investigate.
