Purpose:To observe the clinical curative effect and the influence of hemorheologyand nerve conduction velocity of for the patients of the diabetic peripheralneuropathy (DPN) of lower limb by point injection together with a foot bathmedicated with traditional Chinese medicine. Moreover to expound the mechanismon the point injection together with a foot bath medicated with traditionalChinese medicine, it will provide a new method for the DPN of lower limb clinicaltreatment.Method:1 40 cases of DPN of lower limb were selected with certain diagnostic standard, they were randomly divided into 2 groups, the treatment group and the medicinecontrol group, 20 cases in each group.2 The treatment group was treated by point inject mecobalamin together witha foot bath medicated with traditional Chinese medicine without any change ofbasic therapy of diabetes, and the points were zusanli(ST36, single side) andsanyinjiao(SP6, single side), with left and right interchange. Then we drawedmecobalamin injection, and inject 0.5ml injection slowly in each points. Thepatients were all treated once time every day and 30 times were a course oftreatment. The foot bath medicated with traditional Chinese medicine was treated one time every day and 30 days were a course of treatment, and 2 courseswere given.3 Without any change of basic therapy of diabetes, Patients in medicine controlgroup were treated with 500ug of mecobalamin two times a day through oral intakewith 30 days as one therapeutic course, and 2 courses were given.4 Before the first treatment and after 2 course of treatment, we evaluatedrespectively the clinic symptoms of two groups with Michigan Diabetic NeuropathyScore (MDNS), then the change of hemorheology and nerve conduction velocity weremeasured in patients with DPN before and after treatment. At last, we willapproach the clinic therapeutic effect and mechanism on point injection togetherwith a foot bath medicated with traditional Chinese medicine for DPN.Result:1 Clinical Efficacy: The total effective rate in the treatment group was higherthan that of the medicine control group. There was difference between the twogroups in statistics (P>0.05).2 MDNS Scores: There were significant differences before and after treatmentin the decrease of MDNS scores in treatment group(P<0.01). There weredifferences before and after treatment in the decrease of MDNS scores in medicinecontrol group (P<0.05). And after treatment, MDNS of the treatment groupdecreased significantly than that of the medicine control group(P<0.01).3 Hemorheology: There were differences significant extremely before and aftertreatment in the decrease of hemorheology in both groups (P<0.01). And aftertreatment, hemorheology of the treatment group decreased significantly thanthat of the medicine control group(P<0.05).4 Nerve Conduction Velocity: There were significant differences before andafter treatment in the elevation of MCV of common peroneal nerve and SCV ofsuperficial peroneal nerve in treatment group (P<0.01). There were differencesbefore and after treatment in the elevation of MCV of common peroneal nerveand SCV of superficial peroneal nerve in medicine control group group(P<0.05). And after treatment, MCV of common peroneal nerve SCV ofsuperficial peroneal nerve of the treatment group elevated significantly thanthat of the medicine control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:1 The clinical symptom of DPN in lower limb was improved significantly by boththerapy. The hemorheology and nerve conduction velocity were improvedsignificantly by both therapy.2 The improving of nerve conduction velocity and the descending of MDNS Scoresas same as hemorheology in treatment group were superior to control group.3 Point inject mecobalamin together with a foot bath medicated with traditionalChinese medicine is an effective method for treating DPN in lower limb. Themethod, Obvious curative effect. The patients suffer litter and accept thismethod easily. And this method is very simply and worth speeding.
