The therapeutic effect of nioxribustion on Ma]igant Tumor after chemotherapy and its operating mechanism was discussed systematically in this paper. Based on the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the clinical manifestations after chemotherapy, the author proposed that the pathogenesis was onsumptive disease?.Therefore the them- peutic principle of Invigorating the vital - qi was put forward and the corresponding moxibustion prescription was also given. Clinical observation on 30 cases indicated that the therapeutic effect of the nioxibusflon group was remarkably better than that of the control group. The study shows that the decrease of cellular immune ftmction and acceleration of Apoptosis of peripheral Blood lymphocyte are two serious side effects in patients with Malignant Tumor after chemotherapy which brought about failure to finish chemotherapy smoothly. Moxibustion can improve cellular immune function and inhibit Apoptosis of peripheral Blood lymphocyte to resist side effects of chemotherapy by means of support- ing the vital qi,benefluing congenital essence and acquired qi and blood. Compared with the simple Western medicine, moxibustion is much more safer and it releases side effects efficiently in order to help patients spend their chemotherapy smoothly. So a new train of thought was supplied for the teseareh of Maligant Tumor.
