Object:The paper reviews the theories and advancement of prevention and treatment of essential hypertension(EH) by modern medicine and TCM.We attempted to assess trie mechanism of treatment of EH with Xueyaping nose drop. Method:l.To study the effect of Xueyaping on the two kidney ne clip renal hypertensive rat (2K c RHR), including blood pressure(BP),plasma renin aetivity(PRA),angiotensin II(AngIJ),nitric oxide(NO)/endothelin(ET) and left ventri æ¢'ular hypertrophy(LVH).2.to observe BP,symptoms and syndrorn index points, the function of autonomic nervous system,hemorheology,microcirculation and PGI2/TXA2 of EH patients with Xueyaping.Result:The experimental and clinical research showed that Xueyaping can overthrow the cardiovascular remodeling, reduce PRA, AngII, TXA2 and ET, increase PGI2 and NO, recover PGI2/ TXA2 and NO/ET balance , improve the function of autonomic nervous system, hemorheology and microcirculat ion. Conclusion:We can conclude that the mechanism of treatment of EH with Xueyaping depends on it's inhibiting RAS ,protecting vessel endo? thelium and improve the function of autonomic nervous system, hemorheology and microcirculation.
