The acupuncture method of tong Jing Zhi Tong?(TJZT) is an effective therapy for pain syndrome, which is summarized and founded by Professor Wu Lian Zhong in his clinic. We selected the common diseases of peripheral neuralgia as study objects such as sciatica, prosopalgia, occipital neuralgia. In order to observe the effect of TJZT acupuncture method for peripheral neuralgia, we adopted the objective diagnotic principle and therapentic evaluation. We evaluated the degree of pain and compared the effect of TJZT acupuncture method with the traditional acupuncture method.The results of the research were as follows:1. The curative effect of TJZT acupuncture method for peripheral neuzalgia was certain and obviously superior to the traditional acupuncture method (PO.05) , which indicated that the TJZT acupuncture method had all notable effect for different types for neuralgia.
