| AbstractAccording to the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), the rat asthmatic models with spleen-deficiency were set up by the methods of setting up animal model of spleen-deficiency in TCM and bronchial asthma in west medicine. The effects of the medicine of reinforcing earth to strengthen metal?on total cell count(Tot), eosinophil count (Eos), contents of cAMP and cGMP and the ratio of cAMP and cGMP in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF) of model animals were observed. The effect of reinforcing earth to strengthen metal?combined with the P 2adrenergic agonists(P2A) on contents of cAMP, cGMP and the ratio of cAMP and cGMP in BALF were observed also.Results:In animals of both groups of spleen-deficiency asthma and asthma, the counts of Tot and Eos and the content of cGMP increased (PKO. 01), the content of cAMP and the ratio of cAMP and cGMP decreased (PK0. 01 or P(0. 05) the changes in animals of spleen-deficiency asthma are more markedly(compared with those in animals of asthmatic group, P(0.0l or P<0.05). The medicine of einforcing earth to strengthen metal?can notably reduce the counts of Tot and Eos (P<0. 01 or P<0.05),and the content of cGMP: and raise the content of cAMP and the ratio of cAMP and cGMP in model animals (P<0. 01 or P<0. 05). The medicine of einforcing earth to strengthen metal?combined with ~ 2A can markedly reduce the content of cGMP, increase the content of cAMP and the ratio of cAMP and cGMP in BALF.Conclusions:The changes of contents of cAMP and cGMP of asthma with spleen-beficiency is obvious. Spleen-beficiency is one of the main pathogeneses of asthma. Spleen-beficiency can make the changes of contents of cAMP and cGMP of asthma more serious. The medicine Of einforcing earth to strengthen metal?can bring on a satisfactory result in treating asthma through increasing the content of cAMP, decreasing the content of cGMP, correcting the ratio of cAMP and cGMP. The antisthmatic effect of the medicine of einforcing earth to strengthen metal?can be reinforced if it was used in combination withP 2A. |
