International System Technology Company (ISTC in short) is a foreign-invested joint venture company, owned by IBM(80%)and the Great Wall Group(20%). It has become one of the strategic manufacturing bases of IBM global integrated supply chain. ISTC is focusing on the manufacturing of server products and other IBM strategic products. ISTC is the major manufacturing base of IBM eServer x series, and supports the global market. As the market competition is more and more severe, Supply Chain Management is becoming more and more important as a tool to get competitive edge. This paper will focus on the Integrated Supply Chain Management of ISTC, and discuss the strategic position of Supply Demand Planning in the Supply Chain; Research the Supply Chain resource integration to enhance the efficiency of supply chain management and logistics services according to the company its own advantages in resources, the development of the status quo and modern supply chain development requirement. It has the particularly important and practical significance to improve the effectiveness of ISTC's supply chain management while the current international competition is becoming increasingly fierce. At the same time, I hope that this paper will be the effective complement to the supply chain management system of ISTC, and will have reference value to perfect and improve the supply chain management planning and policy development.Currently server market faces tough tests and intense competition. To serve our customers with No.1 quality in the first time is the company's guarantee to maintain a sustained development. While in order to improve service efficiency, supply and demand balance is the premise, so the strategic supply and demand planning is extremely important. As supply and demand planning is still in the early development stage, only a limited companies include the supply and demand planning in the actual business routine, and there are considerable deficiencies in the theoretical study and practical operation. ISTC as a strategically production location of IBM, has inherited lots of IBM's mature advantage, but there are still many places needing improvement. Such as the demand planning accuracy, the average whole year accuracy in 2007 is even below 80%; The planning efficiency is far below IBM's another two regions(EMEA and AG), and there are still lots of manual work compared with highly systemization in other two regions.Because of the upper mentioned reasons, this paper will focus on the content of the study of how to do the more efficient supply and demand planning. Analyze the current marketing competition status, international server market development and consumption trend; server business status and ISTC organization environment and development resistance. Briefly discuss the Supply Chain Management,Supply Chain Management construction model,character and system. Talk something about the conflict of modern business process and Supply Chain Management. Mainly focus on the Supply Demand Planning of server products, and the Supply Demand Planning in the Supply Chain Management strategy. Further bring forward the need to establish the management model and delivery system and conception. Finally simply talk about the Production Planning and Control, Inventory Management under the Supply Chain Management. And I hope that the research result is useful and helpful for ISTC or other enterprises'demand planning development, and give any advice and help to the long team Supply Chain Management.
