Quality Inspection Center Of The National Electric Wire & Cable Capacity Evaluation System

Wire and cables are very important industrial products. The wire and cable industry is experiencing an unprecedented opportunity, with the nation's fast economic development and people's life improvement. This industry could not grow in a healthy way without China National Center for Quality Supervision and Test of Electric Wire and Cable. The Center is not only the technology lead in the industry, but also a useful help of the governmental quality supervision. The effect to this industry's development from the Center lies on its comprehensive competencies. This article uses the Center as the research subject, describing the Center's evaluation status about the comprehensive competencies, discussing its deficiencies, and thoroughly analyzing all the factors that could impact. It also applies to Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), finds out the weighting of the 6 factors:technical capability, human resource, search strength, operating performance, development, and exterior support, and finally establishes the evaluation index system for the competencies. With this system, Center could understand its strengths and weaknesses, and work out reference evidence in the further pursuit of the comprehensive competency development. Finally, the article makes the validation by using the examples of China National Center for Quality Supervision and Test of Electric Wire and Cable (Jiangsu).
