Qingdao City Tourism Competitiveness Study

At present, there are a lot of domestic and international scholars that have studied urban tourism competitiveness, and have made considerable achievements. Many of them have built tourism competitiveness evaluation index system or model. However, the majority of researches were about specific cities, and the evaluation index system is roughly the same. So there is not targeted for different types of tourist cities in competitiveness studies, and we can not judge the level of urban tourism competitiveness scientifically.In this paper, the author refer to a number of competitive factors of urban tourism and the evaluation index system, and try to establish an evaluation of the competitiveness indicators of coastal tourist city according to the specific type of resources, products of the coastal tourist city.In chapter one, on the basis of wide-range reading of relevant home and abroad literatures, the researches of the competitiveness of domestic and international urban tourism are reviewed and the trends of its development are summarized. At the same time, the relevant concepts and basic theories which this paper needs to draw on are introduced.In chapter two, the author refer to the basic theory in chapter one and some evaluation index systems of other scholars, and try to establish an evaluation of the competitiveness indicators of coastal tourist city according to the specific type of resources, products of the coastal tourist city. The evaluation of the competitiveness indicators includes the basis of tourism competitiveness, the core of tourism competitiveness and the competitiveness of tourism and the environment. And the author uses the AHP method to calculate and build an evaluation index system of tourism competitiveness of coastal-based tourist city.In chapter three, the current status of tourism development in Qingdao is introduced, and at the same time, a brief overview of tourism development in Dalian is introduced, and the cause of selecting Dalian as a comparative study object is explained. By collecting data on relevant indicators, using the index system of comparative study, and comparing with the impact of each factor level, then the competitiveness of comparison can be gotten ultimately. Through the data comparison, we can identify disadvantage and advantage of Qingdao tourism.In chapter four, on the basis of the contrast conclusions in chapter three, explore targeted solutions to the sustainable development of tourism competitiveness of Qingdao, so that tourism in Qingdao have more competitive in the same types of tourist cities.
