Performance management is applied widely as en effective measure for enterprise management, and is also paid high attention by enterprise manager. But traditional performance management objects are mainly includes middle-level and branches of enterprise. The employees, who are the final executors of enterprise stratagem, are always omitted. In this paper, Zibo Power Corporation is taken as the example to study the performance management manners of numerous employees.This paper starts with cor relative theory of performance management. Based on the study of performance management in current electric power corporation and that for numerous employees, and considering present situation of performance management in Zibo Power Corporation, some shortages and problems are summarized. Then job analysis for typical quarters of employees is carried out. The performance management manners are determined by job analysis, which can find out the key point for employees performance evaluation. In the design of performance management manners, job analysis methods are applied effectively. SMART principle is adopted to determine examination target aims, which combines qualitative aims and quantificational aims. Omnidirectional examination methods and key outstanding achievement target aim methods are applied, and examination cycle combines monthly examination and yearly examination. In performance management manners, performance results utilization, performance communication and improvement are paid more attention.This paper contains four chapters. Chapter one is introduction, research background, intention, significance, research thoughts, research methods and thesis framework are elaborated. Chapter two focuses on the study and analysis of performance management theories. Then these theories are combined with employee management practice to propose personal point of view. In chapter three, the employee management situation in Zibo Power Corporation is elaborated, the examination and management manners are analyzed. Chapter four is the keystone of this thesis. In this chapter, holistic frame of performance management manners is emphasized from the aspects of the determination of examination level, extraction of target aim, examination manner, application and communication feedback of examination results. At end of this chapter, employee performance management manners are summarized.The performance management manners proposed in this thesis have been applied in some teams and groups of Zibo Power Corporation. The results show that performance of employee has been improved greatly, the confidence of employee has been built up. By discussing of employee performance management, current performance management manners are considered to be disassembled into two parts, which are enterprise performance management system and employee performance management. Performance of middle-level or branches of the enterprise is taken as combination of these tow systems. Then a new performance management system can be realized with a uniform upper level performance manner and a various bottom level performance manner.The shortages of these performance management manners are that it is hard to unify employee performance management, different workshops in one corporation must establish examination modes respectively, which have a high requirements of middle level leaders to understand the performance management.
