In recent years, consumption of napkin has increased at a rate of 15% annually. In which, napkin for baby reached 4.17 billion pieces last year in China, the increase was over 25%. Under such a big and high potential market, optimization logistics become more and more important to a napkin FMCG company's competition.Modern logistics is named as: the third source of profit which next to work force and natural resources. To make the profit come true, the key issue is to optimize a company's logistics management continuously.By research the logistics optimization of Kimberly-Clark, the article introduced the logistics issues, such as out dated warehouse management facilities, high standard delivery requirement of customer vs. immature China inland transportation market, and un-satisfied 3PL services etc. All these issues are common logistics issues to other companies as well.According to these issues, the article analyzed the optimization in 3 areas: warehouse management, distribution management, and 3PL management. First, it introduced the improvement of hard ware facilities of warehouse, racking, WMS etc, and soft ware of warehouse: process integration. Next, it separates the distribution region as ShangHai and outside Shanghai. To shanghai, distribution route, the way of loading, 3PL transportation company management, and planning was studied. Outside Shanghai distribution was divided into by road and by train, by analyzing advantages of the 2 methods, ways of optimization was found. Last, according to the disadvantage of current 3PL service, requirement to 3PL service was generated, new 3PL been selected and optimized, the service of optimized 3PL been analyze.The article has high value and reference for company with similar business, as well as for all FMCG company.
