The function of time management in ERP project is mainly to optimize the resources and costs, achieve the goals of the project as far as possible and improve the project success probability by confirming and adjusting the task sequences and periods on the planned project schedule.The article presents a case of sap implementation project for BO TONG Company, completely and systematically introduces the basic methodology, methods and computerized tools of project time management. The details contain definition and optimum sequencing of ERP activities, duration estimating, critical path method (CPM), Program Evaluation and Review Techniques (PERT), schedule planning and use of Gunter graph, schedule monitoring and controlling, processes for identifying and responding to ERP project risk and comparison of relative project management software.The article consists of five parts: the first part studies the methodology of project management and time management, relevant computerized management software. The second part detailedly describes the background information on BO TONG and its SAP implementation project; the third part researches how Bao tong sap project applies time management methods and techniques. The fourth part is a study focus on SAP project risk management. The Last Part, namely the Fifth part is the conclusion of project management, project time management , project risk management's main points, relationship and practice tips. Such structure which shows the connection between project management theory and practices, which has the advanced features in ERP project's time management area. The article which emphasizes the focus and considers the details with characteristics of specialization and integration is the outcome of SAP implementation experiences and project management methodology research accumulated by the author self for many years , which would provide important and valued reference for readers and enterprises who need to master the project time management methods and solve the actual problems of project time management.
