In 1980s, East Asian Economies"Japan–NICS–ASEAN''led by Japan was referred as the East Asia Miracle by the World Bank for its rapid increase of export-oriented economy and stable price level . Nonetheless, Financial Crisis in the Southeast Asia revealed the vulnerability of the economy. Now, enterprises all over the world are exploiting new business models to upgrade their core competence. The extent and speed of economic prosperity will be largely dependent on how successfully they learn to cope with globalization and to facilitate management approaches from outside.This article focuses on the comparison analysis between Japan and China on their oriental management style. On the analysis of these two countries'corporate management methods and modes, the author explains the function of the culture and history in forming the management modes within a country. The article provides reference for Chinese corporations on how to improve their management skills. The theory part includes the introduction of the Comparative Management theory and Management Grafting theory. These theories play an important role in management research and practical work. The comparison part is based on the analysis of the national culture and the evolutionary paths between China and Japan, and key factors are outlined - familism, attitude of loyalty & filial piety, collectivism, etc. In the following chapters, from the culture and history dimension, the author analyzes the varied influences on human resources management, marketing management, operational management and technological innovation in China and Japan, case studies are offered at the end of each chapter listed above. The author found some solutions for Chinese enterprises through the experiences from Japan.Creative points:1. The author did a comparison between China and Japan on business management from the culture and history dimensions;2. Validity testament of the Two-dimensional analysis was applied, the author concluded that the business culture & management mode was based on the soul of Chinese traditional culture;3. Combined with Japanese business management practice, the author gave some practical advises and countermeasure.
