First of all in this text, author summarized the conception of IT assets management, the characteristics of IT assets, depreciation of IT assets and survey of IT assets management information system at home and overseas etc. Secondly, the author discussed the technologies which relates to the development of the management information system, such as: developing methods, developing tools and database etc. Thirdly, the author carried on system analysis and system design in allusion to the IT assets management system, the part of system analysis included analysis of business process , analysis of data process, disposion description etc.; the part of system design mainly introduced the design of function and database. Finally, the author used the develop tools of SQLSEVER database and PB9 to carry out the functions of increment, revision , turning to use , discarding, searching, categorization , report forms of the IT assets. The system has already used in the enterprise at the end of 2006, through usage of a few months, the system run steadily, and raised the efficiency of work.The system interface is good, the operation is simple, and it is practical.
