Today, with the acceleration of the globalization of the world economy, human resources play a prominent role in the development of an enterprise. The management of the staff performance attaches importance to enterprise as one of the key points of human resource management, and the performance appraisal, which serves as a core system at the center of management of the staff performance, is also drawing greater attention form the people, and has thus become a key point in the management of human resources in an enterprise.Performance Appraisal (PA) is a process to evaluate the staff's working performance in certain period for an organization. As the main content in manpower exploiting and management, and a difficult point in the Human Resource field, it plays an important role in personnel decisions and compensation management. How to evaluate the staff's performance scientifically, logically and justly attracts more and more corporations. The settlement performance examination indicators often become the key point in the performance appraisal system.The method of KPI (Key Performance Index) has already been adopted while implementing the performance appraisal by more and more enterprises. This should owe the credit to two remarkable characteristics of KPI: first, KPI emphasizes that the establishment of the performance indicators must be got in touch with organizing the development strategy. Second, the problem which the organization needs to pay attention to and solve most within specific period that KPI pays close attention to the thing.In this thesis, the theory and practice methods have been used. The basic theories and knowledge relevant performances appraise have been put forward at first; the performance appraisal on X Rural credit cooperatives is its analyses, finding out question to go on ,and proposing solving the scheme of the problem with the core of KPI; appraising the scheme finally.Following the above clue of thought, the framework of this thesis is as follows:The first part, the theory of performance appraisal, includes conception, are intention, function, method, course, warp and so on, the theoretical basis for the design of KPI.The second part tells the theory of KPI and construction of KPI system, including conception, level, origin, composing, principle, flow, the analysis of difficulty, and so on.The third part tells X Rural credit cooperatives current situation and designs the performance appraisal system taking KPI as the core, including the analysis of the X Rural credit cooperatives of human resource and Performance Appraisal, telling the cause of choosing KPI, thinking, preparing, the design of KPI and the result of performance appraisal.The fourth part appraises X Rural credit cooperatives performance appraisal system and provides the advice on pushing KPI, including the analysis, advantage and disadvantage of the result and the scheme, how to perfect KPI and the advice of pushing KPI.
