On The Present Situation And Prospects Of The Thai Natural Rubber Trade

Thailand and China practices a long history of friendly relations, geographical proximity, bilateral political mutual trust, mutually beneficial economic cooperation, close relation between the people of both countries. Especially from the 20th century, in 1975 from the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, exchange of visits of high-level leaders between the two countries have been maintained to deepen mutual understanding and trust, to promote political, economic, cultural and other fields of friendly relations and cooperation development between both countries. All these have provided suitable and sound condition for the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries.Since 2000, natural rubber continuously has been ranked the first agricultural product in Thai-Sino bilateral trade, Thailand has become the largest supplier of natural rubber. Export of its natural rubber output in Thailand is 90%, of which 70% is exported to China, accounting for the vast majority of Thailand's total exports.Although Thai-Sino natural rubber trade have maintained the stable development over the years, but there still exists some problems in the natural rubber trade between the two countries, that constrains the further development of Thai Sino bilateral trade. Thailand and China should strengthen the bilateral trade of natural rubber; promote more effective cooperation in bilateral trade of natural rubber products. This article starts from the introduction and analyzation of the current status of Thai-Sino trade of natural rubber, explicit development trend of natural rubber industry of Thailand and China. At the same time it also analyzes the production, consumption, situation of imports and exports and its development trends of natural rubber between China and Thailand. And further analyzes the existing problems and its causes of natural rubber trade between China and Thailand. Finally, forwards a Thai-Sino natural rubber trade development prospects and the corresponding conclusions.This article is divided into four chapters. In the introductory part of the article, describes the purpose and significance of research, the ideas and methods of research, and gives the overview of research about Thai Sino domestic and international trade of natural rubber. The first chapter describes the current situation of natural rubber industry in China and Thailand, carry outs analyze the development evolution of Thai Sino natural rubber trade, however further analyzes the dynamics of Thai-Sino natural rubber trade. The second chapter discusses the major problems faced and their causes at different periods in the development of Thai Sino natural rubber trade, the third chapter analyzes Thai Sino natural rubber trade relation from Thai Sino political, cultural and economic aspects, at the same time also predetermines trade prospects and development trend towards Thai Sino natural rubber trade.
