With the development of the global economy, traditional Comparative Advantage Theory can not explain the new trade phenomenon after World War II-one country will export and import the same products at the same time, so Intra-industry Trade emerges as require under this background. In recent years, research on Intra-industry Trade has caught public attention and been the frontier of international trade. At the same time, the level of Intra-industry Trade in one area has been one of the most important factors to evaluate the flexibility and the position of international division of labor.Intra-industry trade of manufactured goods is increasing between China and Japan, and is expected to go beyond the traditional inter-industry trade and become the major form. Faced with this trade type, we have to analyse carefully and study deeply. In this paper, the previous research of intra-industry trade within the manufacturing industry has been made, which analyzed the intra-industry trade development process and practical features, and described the obstacles and positive factors, in order to demonstrate the development prospects.Theoretical research and empirical analysis were used together in this paper. ChapterⅠand ChapterⅡare to describe the research background and significance, with detailed description about theoretical basis of intra-industry trade, choose the method suited to China's national conditions from a variety of measurement methods. ChapterⅢdescribes the import and export trade status of Sino-Japanese industrial products. Besides, according to Sino-Japanese trade value, G-L index, MIIT index, threshold index are calculated and the third level sub-products are under in-depth study. In addition, based on the Greenaway method, we derived the Sino-Japanese intra-industry trade types, specific division of the small classes. Chapter IV explores the impact factors of intra-industry trade within Sino-Japanese.The two countries GDP, per capita income differences, Sino-Japanese exchange rate, Japan's direct investment in China have implications for intra-industry trade.by using Gray relational analysis Finally, the paper gave some suggestions on how to promote Sino-Japanese intra-industry trade in industrial products and draw relevant conclusions.
