The mechanical and electrical products is an important part of international trade, and the proportion is high, which is a great part in the international commodity trade, which plays an important role for stimulating the growth of a country’s economy and exports, so whether developed or developing countries, they are taking to expand the export of that products as one of the main path to achieve economic growth, who think it is an opportunity to develop foreign trade and economic cooperation. The rapid development of intra-industry trade in products between China and Japan, which is increasingly becoming the focus of the bilateral trade of China-Japan and with a great impact on industrial policy and trade relations to the two countries.This paper take the Intra-industry trade theory as basis, and use the index of GL and the MIIT to calculate and analyze the intra-industry trade profiles of China-Japan in mechanical and electrical products, and comprehensive analysis the development level, as a result, found the intra-industry trade has become the main form of the bilateral trade of China-Japan. Meanwhile, through analysis the products competitive export to Japan and trade structure of trade, we can found that vertical industry trade is still mainly now, the international competitiveness of exports to Japan was worse. Grasp the basis of the analysis before, this will select five factors includes the per capita national income, foreign direct investment, market size, trade imbalance and the exchange rate of RMB against the yen as explanatory variables, the index of intra-industry trade as The explanatory variables to regress the model and co-integration analysis. Finally, based on empirical results, combined with the characteristics and the challenges facing our country, and point out the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
