| The development of regional economy represents not only the rationalization of regional industrial structure but also the orderly substitution of regional leading industry. The regional leading industry is not localized the national leading industry but essentially characterized by qualities of both regional and leading sector. Therefore choosing regional leading industry should represent the characteristic of a leading sector in a special region. The relationship among development of regional economy, rationalization of regional industrial structure and substitution of regional leading industry is the core of my dissertation by which I make positive study on rationalization of regional industrial structure and choosing regional leading Industry in TianJin Binhai New Area. The problems of constraining rationalization of industrial structure in Binhai New Area are that contradictions between industry sector and service sector and obscurity of regional leading industry. I analyzed factors about rationalization of regional industrial structure in terms of function of Binhai New Area, developmental strategy and background of globalization. So I take location quotient technique, comparative labor productivity rate, elasticity of demand-income and technology progress rate as standards of choosing leading industry in Binhai New Area. According to comparative advantage following strategy of industrial development in Binhai New Area, extraction of petroleum, manufacture of information and electronic Equipment, logistical service are defined as leading industries in TianJin Binhai New Area. And then I give some suggestions of cultivating leading industries. |
