Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) is a new technology that envisages supplementing wired infrastructure with a wireless backbone for providing Internet connectivity to mobile nodes (MNs) or users in residential areas and offices, and could be called the Web-in-the-sky.WMNs are characterized by self-organizing self-configuring capability, ease, and (quick) rapidity of network deployment. When some equipments break down,it can set up new routes over again to avoid paralysis of the network;when we add new equipments or move equipments,the network can find the change and adjust the routes to the best transmission route.Since its inception in the early years of this millennium, it has been in the limelight of all researchers.The degree thesis developed the functions of WMNs'MAC based on VxWorks, including neighbor management, link management and information processing with the interworking and route modules.Then the designed system is tested, including functions testing, modules testing and system testing. We found the fault that the Mesh beacon periodically transmitted led to the task of WLTR to be suspended.Finally, the Mesh beacon is replaced by the probe request to find neighbors, and we amend the semaphore to improve the performance of the designed system.In the future, we will improve the throughput on this basis, and focus on the Mesh network deployment indoor and outdoor. We will validate the interrelated protocol in our Mesh network. |
