Wireless Mesh networks is a new type of wireless network architecture. The core guiding principle is to make each node can send and receive signals. The scalability and robustness problems of the traditional WLAN have been resolved. With wireless Mesh technology appearing, the wireless networking technology represents another major leap, there have a very broad application prospects. In this paper, embedded software development process has done a detailed study and implementation. We mainly use the H3C wireless AP (WA1208E) to carry out the wireless Mesh network equipment development. Basis of the wireless AP, through the embedded application software changes to the original development of the wireless AP into a wireless Mesh network node. including gateway nodes and ordinary nodes. In particular, this paper does not in the ordinary AP on how to develop all of the Mesh function to do a comprehensive introduction. In this paper, the development of Mesh networking equipment in a common software module that is bridge software modules. Bridging software module is mainly responsible for the different networks associated data frame forwarding operations. In order to improve the efficiency of forwarding, bridging module and also the maintenance of the wireless port forwarding function. Relevant data frame filtration and treatment are carried out bridge module. In this paper, bridging module development process in detail, including design development, testing and optimization and so on.Although the structure of the bridge software modules is not complicated, but through the development of a detailed description of this module, we can learn the entire embedded software development process.
