The PLA perform multiple tasks such as:maintaining social stability, strengthening national defense, defending against aggression etc., which request a quick understanding of the important target and place in order to respond quickly. The Video Surveillance Technology is one of the means to realize these objectives. Because of the decentralized nature of resident, the Monitor in the Armed Police Force has the following features:amounts of monitor points, large storage capacity,24-hour security monitoring, high security request. As the current storage system could not meet the demands of large storage request, the study on the Video Surveillance Storage is of great practical significance. Therefore, it has been an important means to solve the Video Surveillance Storage based on iSCSI Protocol.This thesis focuses on the Video Surveillance Storage program based on iSCSI protocol according to current conditions of PLA. And the mian works are as follows:1)This thesis gives a detailed analysis of the structural conditions of Video Surveillance Storage system, clarifying its shortcomings and new demands.2)Based on the features and current conditons of Video Surneillance Storage, this thesis compares the present three storage systems and proposes that IP SAN is more suitable for Video Surveillance Storage in PLA.3)Analysis the thoery to realize conversation management, error recovery mechanism and security mechanism of iSCSI.4)Giving a detailed analysis in terms of user demand of Video Surveillance Storage. The thesis designs a program for Video Surveillance Storage based on iSCSI protocol in PLA, giving a solution to improve the Storage Architecture in PLA.5)We carried out study on the parameters that affects Video Surveillance Storage System.
